The product range in Germany includes products from well-known manufacturers such as Martin by HARMAN, Ayrton, Robert Juliat, Rosco, Prolights, Portman Lights, zactrack, Filmgear, Wireless Solution and Doughty. The products of MA Lighting, Major and Rainbow Colour Changers are also distributed worldwide. Lightpower is headquartered in Paderborn, Germany. The company also has a branch in Traun, Lightpower Austria, as well as international competence centres in London, Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paulo, Bogota, Dubai, Singapore and Helsinki.

Technical and user-friendly data are not a contradiction in terms

A specific product range creates offers and facilitates purchasing decisions, but the customer has the power of choice and decision. With highly technical devices such as those in the Lightpower range, the presentation and clarity of the products therefore play an important role. What are the technical specifications of the device? What is included in the scope of delivery? Is the information up to date? Is there any additional material? In order to answer these questions clearly, the integration of product and merchandise management data must be constant. This guarantees that the shop system is up-to-date and relevant as required.

The REST API xom developed by myview can be used to manage masses of data records in a clear and targeted manner. Cyclical updates and changes to the product data can be implemented without media discontinuity and set in a customer-friendly manner. For example, millions of customised prices can be delivered quickly and specifically to the right recipients.

Another advantage of xom is its shop connection with seamless integration into existing e-commerce frameworks and integration with the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network (CDN). This means, for example, that software packages the size of gigabytes can be made available worldwide with little effort. Thanks to the scaling options of the CDN application, the Lightpower GmbH online shop is also optimally equipped for the future.

The additional features also include brand-specific product data sheets, which can be generated on-demand in PDF format. Thanks to detailed and consistent data maintenance, these are always available in the latest version. The specific ‘brand’ layouts can be customised and expanded as required and are therefore tailored precisely to the requirements of customers and suppliers. The xom.assets module also communicates with the central MAM system Canto Cumulus. Access to current assets is therefore possible at all times and manual file transport is not necessary. Assets can be retrieved flexibly in any variants and sizes.

In summary, the xom API realises a reliable shop system for Lightpower with efficient integration of product data and merchandise management data. This is the answer to a complex and dynamic market for a highly technical lighting range and its product information.
