To this day, product catalogues form the core of HAZET's product communication. Among other things, they list various hand tools or operating and workshop equipment with corresponding product information. These can include everything from dimensions, weight and descriptions to article numbers. The company's portfolio comprises a total of over 5500 items. For adaptations and new releases, it is important for HAZET to distribute current product catalogues to the relevant customers and partners as quickly as possible. Various requirements such as data standardisation, language versions and format variants must be taken into account.

HAZET is therefore regularly faced with the challenge of redistributing around 130 different product catalogues. The PIM system xmedia provides the key support for this.

Founded in Remscheid in 1868, this long-established company stands for quality tools like no other manufacturer. HAZET produces more than 5,500 different tools under its own brand and sells them in more than 100 countries worldwide. The HAZET tool range has been developed in-house and is produced in Germany. The product range includes not only manual tools, including screwdrivers, spanners and cordless tools, but also specialised tools for the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries. HAZET's highly qualified engineers develop and design tools using the latest high-end software and CAD computers. Specially equipped research and development centres help HAZET to continuously monitor and improve its tools. Because HAZET wants to continue to consolidate, maintain and expand its leading position among tool manufacturers.

xmedia ermöglicht durch Auto-matisierungsprozesse eine reibungslose Abwicklung der Produkt-Kataloge.

Die zeitnahe und praktische Verteilung der relevanten Produktinformationen ist für HAZET entscheidend. Denn das eigene Leistungsversprechen beinhaltet neben einer hohen Produktqualität auch eine hohe Prozessqualität. Die Lösung ist der effizienten Automatisierungsprozesse des PIM-Systems xmedia.

Wiederkehrende Aufgaben wie die Aktualisierung und Erstellung von Produkt-Katalogen betreut und bearbeitet dabei das xmedia-Modul JobControlCenter. Die Erstellung von Exporten oder Reports wird dadurch automatisch erledigt. Die zentrale grafischen Benutzeroberfläche macht den Workflow übersichtlich und anwenderfreundlich. Eingearbeitete Status- und Produktmerkmale bilden hier die Grundlage für die regelbasierte Planung und Überwachung der Veröffentlichungen. Die Qualitätsprüfung des Sortimentes erfolgt anhand gesetzter Mussmerkmalen.

As a manufacturer, HAZET works in close co-operation with trade and sales. The BMEcat catalogue standard forms the basis for smooth exchange within the industry. xmedia offers full support for the industry standard and integrates seamlessly into existing CMS/MAM systems.

As HAZET operates worldwide and has global sales structures, the distribution of information in different languages is of great importance. A look at the catalogue range shows that HAZET offers its catalogues in fourteen other languages in addition to German. This is where the scalability of the xmedia modules comes into play. Thanks to the TranslationManager module, the system handles multilingualism with ease and supports complex processes together with end-to-end data tracking. Every retailer and partner receives the desired catalogues, individually set up and adapted.

Thanks to the automation processes of the xmedia PIM system, 60 retailers and trading platforms are supplied fully automatically with up-to-date BMEcat catalogues every month. Specific requirements such as standard classifications according to eCl@ss, Proficl@ss and/or Hazet's own classifications, various UDX format variants and multilingual catalogues are taken into account and implemented.
